Coyote pair win weekly NTJCAC awards

Both of this week’s North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference baseball award winners are from Weatherford College, and both are graduates of Kennedale High School.

2 - Jake MichenerJake Michener is the Position Player of the Week. The freshman outfielder had a .692 batting average for the week of April 30 to May 6. He had a double, four RBI and four runs scored while the Coyotes won three of four against Temple College to close out the regular season.
17 - Tyler Perez
Tyler Perez is the Pitcher of the Week. The sophomore right-hander threw a complete game one-hitter against Temple May 3rd in his second start of the year. Perez allowed one earned run with six strikeouts and two walks.

The Coyotes (32-21) begin Region 5 Tournament play Friday against No. 11 Midland at Texas Tech. All tournament games will be video streamed on psblive.tv.
