Two Weatherford College baseball players have earned All-Region V honors for the 2017 season. Lyons, a 6-foot-5, 271 pound right-hander from Irving Macarthur, set a team record for strikeouts in a game (18) and in a season (114). He was named National Pitcher of the Week twice.

Keefer earned NTJCAC Offensive Player of the Year honors, hitting .448 for the season. The Lucas Lovejoy grad finished 2017 with 73 hits, 22 doubles, three triples and six home runs.
