During the 2017 season, Rackel had 32 starts, 126 strikeouts and 24 walks. She had a 1.98 ERA and won 28 games for the Coyotes.

She is the fourth member of the Coyote softball team named an All-American by the NJCAA. The other three – Kortney Koroll, Kylee Studioso and Katy Vandewater – were all members of the 2013 team.

Rackel was named conference Pitcher of the Week twice last season and has committed to play for Austin Peay State University in Tennessee.

She hopes to land a spot on the 2020 U.S. Olympic team and, perhaps, play professionally.

WC’s Macie Perrin was also selected as an outfielder to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association’s first team and second team All-American by Fastpitch News.

Perrin launched the eighth most home runs in the country with 22 and knocked in 86 runs. The sophomore hit .455 with 18 doubles, five triples, 59 runs scored and a .921 slugging percentage.
