Coyotes dominate Rams
WC extended their winning streak to 12 with a swift three-set sweep against Southwestern Christian College, improving their record to 23-5 overall and 10-0 in conference play.
The Weatherford College volleyball team made quick work of Southwestern Christian College Saturday afternoon, sweeping the Rams at the Betty Jo Graber Athletic Center.
The match was over in less than an hour.
The first set was never close, with the Coyotes winning 25-4. WC had 13 kills and SWCC had one.
Despite a run by the Rams in the middle of the second set, WC won 25-12.
The Coyotes took the third set 25-11. WC had 15 kills to the Rams' two.
Over the three sets, Weronika Urbanska turned in 14 kills, her third double-digit performance in a row.
Lorena Gomez had 16 assists and Victoria Sanchez had 15.
The No. 6 Coyotes improved to 23-5 overall and 10-0 in conference play. It was their 12th win in a row and their 14th sweep of the season.
Weatherford travels to Ranger College on Wednesday and then returns home on Saturday, Oct. 26, against North Central Texas College at 1 p.m.
