WC sweeps weekly baseball awards

The Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference awarded Weatherford College baseball players Jack Arthur and Alexis Gravel with weekly awards for Feb. 19-25. 

A sophomore outfielder from Flower Mound, Arthur earned the NTJCAC Position Player of the Week honors after turning in a solid week for the Coyotes. For the week, he batted .583 with a triple, two home runs and six RBI. He also scored five runs and registered a pair of stolen bases. 

A sophomore from Repentigny, Quebec, Gravel was the NTJCAC Pitcher of the Week. En route to picking up a win, he allowed just three hits while fanning 10 in five innings on the mound. 

WC's Ryne Rodriguez was the Pitcher of the Week for Jan. 29 to Feb. 4.
