AJ Miera, a right-handed pitcher from Fort Worth, has been named the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week. This has been the fourth week in a row a player from the Weatherford College baseball team has named athlete of the week in the polls. 

Miera worked 6.1 innings, going 1-0 in the week. While on the mound, he scattered five hits and allowed just one earned run while striking out nine. 

Previous WC players to earn the weekly award are Trace Mazon, Evan Brandt and JC Davis. 

The Coyote baseball team started a series against Cloud Community College on Friday, Feb. 28, and will conclude with a game starting at noon on Saturday, March 1.
