Weatherford College pitcher Evan Brandt leads the nation in wins according to the latest Division I statistics from the National Junior College Athletic Association. 

Brandt, a sophomore from Argyle, is 6-0 in six outings for the No. 1 ranked Coyotes as of Wednesday, March 5. A group of 11 pitchers tied for second trails him at five wins. 

In 33 innings, Brandt has a 1.36 ERA with 28 strikeouts. He has allowed only five earned runs in his six outings. 

WC (17-2 overall, 2-0 in conference play) will host North Central Texas College on Saturday, March 8, in a doubleheader at Roger Williams Ballpark, beginning at noon.
