Jones earns first POTW for Coyote baseball

On March 6, freshman third baseman Walt Jones earned the first Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week award of the season for the Weatherford College baseball team.

The Ashdown, Arkansas native went six for six in WC's doubleheader against Midland College.

Jones collected three home runs and two walks and brought in nine runners. He hit .667, scored seven runs and contributed three stolen bases.

This is Jones' first POTW honor with the Coyotes.
