Waid earns Player of the Week

This week, the No. 21 Weatherford College baseball team received a baseball Player of the Week award from the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference.

A redshirt sophomore from Texarkana, Arkansas, Ty Waid is the NTJCAC Position Player of the Week. He joins Walt Jones as WC's second player to earn a POTW recognition.

Waid is currently fifth in the nation for home runs, with a .692 batting average. In the Coyotes recent matchup against Ranger College, he hit two doubles, three home runs and brought in 12 runners. He also scored eight runs and drew three walks. He recorded an OPS of 2.303 and had a slugging percentage of 1.538.
