April 1, 2026
Weatherford College's baseball and softball teams moved up in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association Division I polls released March 30.
Following a string of dominant performances, the Weatherford College baseball team is now No. 17 in the nation. The Coyotes' four-spot ascent comes on the heels of a perfect series sweep against Ranger College and a strong showing against Hill College, where they recently secured 10-7 and 12-2 victories in a home doubleheader. The team currently holds an impressive 23-11 overall record and remains a force in conference play at 13-3.
On the diamond next door, the Coyote softball team moved up two spots to No. 21 in the national poll. The Coyotes (25-7, 9-3) are on an eight-game winning streak, most recently sweeping a doubleheader against Hill College with scores of 9-1 and 17-3.
