Dixon named All-Star
Coyote continue to shine in Atlantic League
Former Weatherford College baseball player Brenden Dixon has been named to the Atlantic League First Half All-Star Team at second base following a dominant start to the 2026 season.
Dixon appeared in 32 games for the Lexington Legends before his contract was purchased by the Chicago White Sox organization. At the time of his signing, he was batting .332 and led the Atlantic League with 14 home runs, establishing himself as one of the league's premier offensive players.
He is currently playing for the Double-A Birmingham Barons, a White Sox affiliate. According to a release from the Legends, Dixon's All-Star selection recognizes the significant impact he made in Lexington before returning to affiliated baseball.
An Argyle High School graduate, Dixon transferred to Weatherford College after playing one season at the University of Texas at Austin.
During his time as the starting shortstop for the Coyotes in 2021, Dixon posted impressive numbers:
