Coyotes crush Rams
WC men's basketball cruises to victory in Terrell
The Weatherford College men's basketball team defeated Southwestern Christian College in Terrell on Wednesday, Feb. 19.
Outscoring the Rams by over 10 points in both halves, the Coyotes won 89-67. WC is now 8-3 in conference play, holding a 15-11 record overall.
Sophomore guard Antwan Wilson turned in a double-double, 10 rebounds (6 OREB, 4 DREB) and 20 points. Freshman guard Adrian Shackleton went six for six on free throws, putting up a season-high 18 points.
Holding strong at No. 2 in the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference, the men's team will face No. 3 ranked Temple College at home on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 4 p.m.
The Lady Coyotes won by default due to SWCC forfeiting. WC now stands at 8-4 in conference with a 17-8 record overall.
Currently ranked at No. 4 in the NTJCAC, the Lady Coyotes will face fifth-place Temple College at home on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Weatherford College faculty and staff are invited to both games and will receive a free bag of popcorn.
