Golf finishes second, McCracken wins title in Victoria

The Weatherford College men's golf team had its best outing of the year so far, finishing second out of 11 teams with Bryce McCracken taking first place at the UHV Fall Classic in Victoria Monday and Tuesday. 

McCracken, a freshman from Byron Nelson High School, was nine under par, shooting 69-67-68. He finished first out of 59 individuals. 

WC shot one under par as a team, eight strokes behind the hosts from the University of Houston-Victoria. The Coyotes were four strokes better than McLennan Community College and outplayed programs from Blinn College, Our Lady of the Lake University, Texas A&M-San Antonio and others. 

WC's Michael Goad finished 10^th at even par.  

The tournament was played at The Club at Colony Creek, a par 71, 6,304-yard course in Victoria. Bradley Missel tied for 15^th at three-over.
