Coyote men’s golf improves to No. 5, women’s team stays No. 7
WC golf maintains strong competitive season
Weatherford College golf is fielding two of the top teams in the nation.
The WC men's golf team has reclaimed its previous spot at No. 5 in the nation, edging out No. 6 Midland College.
The recent climb to No. 5 comes from the Coyotes' performance at the TankLogix & Tall City Exploration Collegiate in Midland, which took place on March 9-10. The men's team placed third out of 13 teams. Nicholas Lewis tied for first on the individual leaderboard. Lewis shot 2-under 69 in the first round and followed up with rounds of 71 and 70.
The Coyote women's golf team has maintained its No. 7 rank since the season began. They are currently one of two teams from the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference in the top ten, with McLennan Community College at No. 9.
