WC women No. 5, men No. 7 in tennis rankings

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association ranked Weatherford College among the best in their most recent national NJCAA women’s and men’s team rankings. The ITA ranked the WC women No. 5 in the nation and the men No. 7.

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association ranked Weatherford College among the best in their most recent national NJCAA women's and men's team rankings. The ITA ranked the WC women No. 5 in the nation and the men No. 7. 

The WC women's team is one of only four Texas teams in the ITA's top 25. The poll is led by Cowley College (Kansas). Tyler Junior College is No. 3 and Collin College is ranked ninth. Jacksonville College is No. 15. 

Cowley also leads the men's poll, followed by No. 2 Tyler. Collin is No. 4 and Jacksonville is No. 16.

The WC women will play their first match of the semester on Friday at Lubbock Christian University. The WC men will face Seward County Community College at LCU on Friday.
