Claire Mahere and Serrano named Tennis All-American
Outstanding seasonal performances leads to honors for two tennis athletes
The Weatherford College tennis program had two athletes claim an All-American honor this year. They are among seven athletes across the various WC athletics programs who earned an All-American honor in the 2024-2025 academic year, the most in the college's history.
Sophomore Tsitsi Claire Mahere from the women's team earned a spot on the women's singles team from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. The criteria for an ITA All-American singles honors means finishing in the top ten of the final ITA National NJCAA or CCCAA Singles Rankings.
Freshman Andres Serrano from the men's team earned a spot on the NJCAA singles All-Americans second team.
