WC rodeo wraps up fall season in Vernon
The Weatherford College rodeo team closed out their fall season with strong performances and multiple top finishes at the Vernon College Rodeo.
Weatherford College rodeo athletes delivered impressive performances this weekend at the Vernon College Rodeo, securing multiple top-three finishes.
After a first-place finish in round one of saddle bronc riding, Mitchie Story finished the weekend in third place with 156.5 on two.
Jacee Graff also placed first in round one and finished third overall in goat tying with 15.9 on two.
After a 10th-place finish in round one of team roping, Dalton Huston and Brock Rouse returned to take second overall with 12.0 on two. Lane Webb and Beaue West finished seventh and Jett Steward and John Hisel placed eighth.
Kynlee Stevens' 19.5 on two was good for third place in breakaway roping.
In steer wrestling, Jake Shelton tied for third with 8.6 on two.
Pax Vogel tied for fifth in tie down roping with 19.0 on two.
Jacoby Campbell was 10th in bareback riding.
Zane Huffman placed fifth in round one of steer roping with a 14.2 but had a no time in the finals.
This was the final rodeo for the fall semester. Competition will resume in the spring.
