WC team roper in first place at nationals
Cashton Weidenbener and his team roping partner vaulted into first place in the College National Finals Rodeo standings after Tuesday night’s run in Casper, Wyoming.

Weatherford College's Cashton Weidenbener and his team roping partner vaulted into first place in the College National Finals Rodeo standings after Tuesday night's run in Casper, Wyoming. The pair will head into Saturday night's finals as the frontrunners for a national championship.
Weidenbener and Cason Richey from Texas Tech were in third place after the second round Tuesday morning. But a 6.5 Tuesday night in the third go put them in first with 20.2 on three head.
Richey is the header and Weidenbener the heeler. Weidenbener hails from Queen Creek, Arizona and Richey is a Sunset, Texas native. The pair won the Southwest Region championship this season.
WC goat tyer Jacee Graf was tied for seventh place after the second round Tuesday at the Ford Wyoming Center. She will compete in the third go Thursday night.
