Graff moves into second at national finals

Weatherford College goat tyer Jacee Graff jumped from seventh to second place after a great run Thursday night at the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming.
Graff turned in a 6.2 in the event's third round at the Ford Wyoming Center. With her first two rounds of 6.6 and 6.5, her 19.3 total placed her in second, just behind Texas A&M University's Madelyn Richards (18.9).
Graff will join WC team roper Cashton Weidenbener in Saturday night's finals, streamed on ESPN3.
The St. George, Utah native won the Southwest Region goat tying championship during the regular season. Graff set a new WC record, accumulating 1,057 points. This surpasses the previous WC goat tying record of 665 points, set by Kody Engle in 2008.
