WC sweeps Hill, softball coach picks up 300th win

The Weatherford College softball team swept Hill College in a conference doubleheader Wednesday afternoon, 3-2 and 8-0. The wins were numbers 299 and 300 for WC head coach Haylee Williams.

Teoni Lamb, Destini Trahan and Emma Southerland combined to allow five hits in game one with one earned run and two walks, striking out six.

Marcie Moss pitched all of game two, allowing just three hits with no runs, no walks and one strikeout.

Prya Burns was 3-for-3 with three runs scored and an RBI. Jesse Armstrong was 3-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored. 

The Coyotes are 20-13 overall and 11-11 in conference play. 

Weatherford travels to Hill Saturday. The next home doubleheader at Stuart Field will be Saturday, April 17 at noon against McLennan Community College.
