WC players chosen for softball all-conference team
The softball coaches of the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference have selected six Weatherford College players for the 2021 NTJCAC All-Conference team. It was the most WC honorees since 2016.
The softball coaches of the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference have selected six Weatherford College players for the 2021 NTJCAC All-Conference team. It was the most WC honorees since 2016.
Brooklyn Araujo and Prya Burns each earned first team all-conference status. Araujo, a sophomore second baseman from Downey, California, hit .395 with seven home runs, 39 RBI, 36 runs and six stolen bases. Burns, a freshman from Visalia, California, hit .395 with 13 home runs, 40 RBI and 27 runs scored.
Coyotes selected for second team recognition were Teoni Lamb (P), Stephanie Jimenez (INF) and Ayanna Williams (INF). Pitcher Marcie Moss earned an honorable mention.
The Coyotes finished the season in the semifinals of the Region V-North Tournament with a 27-22 overall record.
