Grayson wins both games at Stuart Field

The Grayson College softball team won both games in a doubleheader against Weatherford College Wednesday at WC's Stuart Field.

The Vikings took the first game 7-2.

WC's Sierra Nixon had a solid outing at the plate, going 2-for-4 and a run scored. Charlee Horton hit a solo home run for the Coyotes.

In game two, Grayson won 3-2. Weatherford took an early lead, up 2-0 in the bottom of the third. The Vikings came back, scoring two runs in the top of the fourth and secured the victory with one run in the top of the fifth.

Haylee Villarreal went 2-for-3 for WC.

The Coyotes are 12-7 overall and 3-2 in conference. Weatherford will go to Grayson on Saturday and to Ranger College on Wednesday. The Coyotes return to Stuart Field Saturday, March 19 in a noon doubleheader.
