WC softball season ends at regional tournament

The Western Texas College softball team defeated Weatherford College 3-2 in a regional tournament elimination game Thursday in Odessa. 

The Coyotes, ranked No. 20 in the country, ended their season with a 33-15 overall record.  

The game was tied 1-1 until the bottom of the fourth inning when WTC put up two runs. WC answered with a run in the top of the sixth, but the Westerners held on for the win.  

Alexah Reyes went 3-for-3 with one RBI for the Coyotes. Janae Trojacek was 3-for-4 with an RBI. Isabella Alosi had a 2-for-3 performance. 

WC's Sarah Hanf gave up six hits, one earned run and two walks while striking out four. Lindsey Oliver allowed no hits and no runs with one walk and two strikeouts over two and one third innings in relief.
