Coyote softball pitchers dominate against Ranger
WC completes season sweep of Ranger as pitching staff combines for 14 strikeouts and no walks in Saturday doubleheader

The Weatherford College softball team completed a season sweep of Ranger College on Saturday, taking both games at Stuart Field, 7-2 and 7-0.
WC's pitching staff continued its strong run, combining for 14 strikeouts and issuing no walks across the doubleheader.
In the opener, Sarah Hanf improved to 7-3 with a complete-game victory. She struck out 14 with no walks, allowing two earned runs on five hits.
Alex Graham drove in three runs, going 2-for-3 with a walk. Joni Jackson also finished 2-for-3 with a double and a walk, while Aofia Noa added a two-run homer in the fourth inning.
In the second game, Kamryn Mears (8-2) and Sidney Hamilton teamed up for a shutout. Mears gave up just one hit over five innings, striking out four without a walk. Hamilton handled the final two innings and did not allow a baserunner.
Karlie Landrum was 2-for-3 with three RBI and a run scored. Jackson added three walks and scored once.
WC improved to 21-7 overall and 5-3 in conference play. WC faces Hill College next, travelling to Hillsboro Wednesday and returning home for a noon doubleheader Saturday, March 28, at Stuart Field.
