WC softball earns all-conference honors
Six Coyotes recognized for standout performances across the conference, highlighting a season of production at the plate and impact in the circle.
For their performances during the season, several student-athletes from the Weatherford College softball team earned spots on the all-conference teams for the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference.
Freshman catcher Joni Jackson and freshman right fielder Alex Graham were each selected alongside sophomore first baseman Karlie Landrum for the All-Conference First Team.
Landrum brought home 66 runners and hit .399. She turned in 13 home runs and 15 doubles.
Jackson was of the top hitters in the conference with a batting average of .402. She hit 16 home runs for the Coyotes and recorded 65 RBI.
Graham had a .503 on-base percentage and stole 26 bases throughout the year. She hit 12 home runs and brought in 52 runners.
The All-Conference Second Team consisted of freshman pitcher Kamryn Mears, freshman left fielder Aofia Noa and sophomore pitcher Sarah Hanf.
Mears had a complete-game performance against then No. 5 McLennan, stranding several runners over the course of the game.
Likewise, Hanf earned a complete game victory over then No. 1 ranked Grayson College, snapping an 18-game winning streak.
Noa brought in 30 runners, with a .362 batting average.
