Lady Coyotes mount big comeback to beat Collin in OT
The Weatherford College women’s basketball team overcame a 17-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat Collin College in overtime Monday at the Betty Jo Graber Athletic Center, 110-101.

WC was down 55-28 at halftime after only scoring five points in the second quarter. The Lady Coyotes outscored Collin 33-16 in the fourth quarter and 15-6 in overtime to seal the win.
WC's Jasmyne Robinson had a stellar game with 31 points and 12 assists. Diamond Sweats added 27 points and Adela Valkova scored 20 with 12 rebounds.
Weatherford (9-1 overall, 5-1 conference) has won five games in a row and is in a tie with Hill College for first place in the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference standings.
The WC men's team lost to Collin 68-60 Monday.
The Coyotes made 8 of 17 three-pointers and out-rebounded Collin 33-30. But WC was 8-of-19 on free throws while Collin made 21-of-24.
Aaron Heft scored 21 points for the Coyotes. Dillion Bennett added 15 points and seven rebounds. John Achebe led Collin with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
The Coyotes are 7-5 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
Both WC teams travel to Hill Wednesday night and return home to face Grayson Friday afternoon, March 5. The women tip-off at 2 p.m. with the men at 4 p.m.
