Anisiobi earns Player of the Year; Coyotes land eight on All-Conference list
Sophomore guard earns honor for second consecutive year; Bennett, Coleman also recognized for men's squad
The Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference recently announced its end-of-the-season basketball award winners, with sophomore shooting guard Neso Anisiobi of the Lady Coyotes earning the Player of the Year award and a spot on the All-Conference team. This is her second consecutive year earning a position on the team.
Anisiobi had a remarkable year with WC. Starting in every game, she scored 17.3 points and brought down 10.7 rebounds per game. She likewise collected 51 assists and logged 57 steals throughout the regular season.
The Lady Coyotes also had three athletes named honorable mentions: sophomore Natalia Arseniadou, freshman Albane Beyaert and sophomore Anja Djukic.
The WC men's basketball team had one athlete named to the All-Conference Team, sophomore guard Andre Bennett, and one named to the Second Team All-Conference, freshman Josiah Coleman.
Bennett scored 10.7 points per game, while Coleman scored 9.1 points per game.
The men's team also had two athletes named honorable mentions: Bol Dhieu and Jel Malek.
