Women’s golf finishes 2 of 3 rounds at nationals
Haros in top 10 individually, Coyotes in 13th place after improved Round 2
Weatherford College was in 13th place after the second round of the NJCAA Women's Golf National Championship on Tuesday near Garden City, Kansas.
The No. 11 Coyotes improved from round one to round two, shooting a combined 315 compared to the 329 they turned in Monday.
WC's Corrina Haros was in 10th place overall at 6-over par (75-75). Emily Gutierrez improved nine strokes, turning in a 78 Tuesday after an 87 Monday, sitting tied for 63rd. Catherine Haas-Black improved eight strokes (89-81).
No. 3 Seminole State College (Florida) had a two-shot lead over No. 2 Odessa College going into the final day of play Wednesday.
Buffalo Dunes Golf Course in Finney County, Kansas, is the site of this year's tournament.
