Women’s golf finishes fourth at national tournament
WC made an impact in NJCAA post season, improving to a top five team in second national appearance
The No. 7 Weatherford College women's golf team completed its last event of the season on Thursday, taking fourth place at the NJCAA DI Women's National Championship held at Oakwood Country Club in Coal Valley, Illinois.
The Coyotes made huge strides in their second consecutive trip to the national tournament, improving by nine positions as they finished in 13th place last year.
Placing above several higher-ranked teams, WC was only four shots shy of third place.
Corrina Haros tied for ninth place individually, shooting several under-par shots across the tournament.
