WC volleyball registers 21st sweep

The Weatherford College volleyball team swept Southwestern Christian College in a conference match on Wednesday in Terrell. WC won 25-14, 25-14, 25-13. 

It was WC's 21st sweep of the season. 

Peighton Serda led the way offensively with eight kills for Weatherford. Abby Folsom registered three kills and 18 assists. Abby Benitez continued her impressive defensive run with 19 digs. 

WC, ranked No. 12 in the nation, improved to 23-3 overall and 8-1 in conference play, best in the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference. 

The Coyotes host Vernon College at the Betty Jo Graber Athletic Center on Saturday, Oct. 14, at 1 p.m. before heading to Hill College on Wednesday, Oct. 18, for a 6 p.m. match.
