WC volleyball improves to 24-3

The Weatherford College volleyball team continued their dominant 2023 run, turning in their 22nd sweep of the season with a victory over Vernon College on Saturday at the Betty Jo Graber Athletic Center. The 12th-ranked Coyotes improved to 24-3 overall and 9-1 in conference play. 

WC won the match 25-17, 25-15, 25-10. 

Peighton Serda registered 12 kills and five digs. Abby Folsom led the team in assists with 18. Brooke McHale and Abby Benitez had 14 digs apiece. 

The Coyotes have won 14 of their last 15 matches. 

WC hosts Hill College on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 6 p.m.
