Coyote volleyball begins conference with sweep
WC volleyball defeated Temple College in three sets, led by Weronika Urbanska's 11 kills and strong performances from Addison Carrillo and Lorena Gomez.

The Weatherford College volleyball team started the conference season with a sweep, beating Temple College in three sets Wednesday night on the road, 25-21, 25-22 and 25-17.
In the opening set, WC's outside and middle hitters helped the Coyotes earn seven of the final nine points.
Temple jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second set, but WC went on an 11-3 run.
Weatherford went on a 14-2 run in the third set and never looked back.
Freshman Weronika Urbanska led the WC offense with a total of 11 kills and added 11 digs. Addison Carrillo had 15 digs and Lorena Gomez had 11.
WC, the No. 7 ranked team in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association Division 1 rankings, improved to 14-5 on the season. Temple dropped to 7-11.
