WC Volleyball continues to win in conference matchups, 23rd straight

Weatherford College continued its conference winning streak Wednesday night, defeating Ranger College 25-20, 25-19, 25-12 at the Betty Jo Graber Athletic Center.

It was WC's 23rd consecutive win in conference play, going back to the 2023 season.

The No. 4 ranked Coyotes were led by returning All-American Gabbie Maldonado, who registered 13 kills and two blocks. 

Mirabel Onyegwu had 11 kills, two aces and four blocks. Harmony Soles added five blocks, Kiana Souza had 21 digs and Victoria Sanchez logged 20 assists.

WC is 14-2 overall and 3-0 in conference play.

Next, the Coyotes face Hill College in Hillsboro Saturday and return home against Southwestern Christian College Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 6 p.m.
