Urbanska receives second player of the week recognition

On Sept. 18, Weronika Urbanska was named the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference offensive player of the week. This marks the third week in a row a Weatherford College athlete has been named POTW, the second time for Urbanska this season.

The 2024 NJCAA All-American had a stellar offensive rally last week, with nine kills on 18 attempts, as well as two blocks and an ace against Ranger College. Urbanska also led the offense in a sweep of Hill College with 11 kills.

Hitting .378 for the week, she averaged four points per set. Urbanska had 20 kills in six sets, 45 attacks, 14 digs, an assist, two blocks and a block assist.
