Coyotes draw No. 2 seed for national tournament
WC prepares to travel to Tennessee for third consecutive national tournament berth
Weatherford College will be the No. 2 seed in the 2025 NJCAA Division I Volleyball Championship Tournament Nov. 19-22. The tournament will be played in the Dunn Center on the campus of Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee.
WC will open the tournament against No. 15 seed Casper (Wyoming) at 1 p.m. CT Wednesday, November 19. The Coyotes are 32-2 and the Thunderbirds are 27-8.
Miami Dade (25-2) earned the No. 1 seed, with three-time returning champions Florida Southwestern (24-3) getting the third seed.
Other Texas schools in the 16-team field include No. 6 Trinity Valley, No. 8 Odessa, No. 9 Blinn and No. 11 Frank Phillips.
The first three days of the tournament will be streamed on the NJCAA Network, and the final day will be broadcast on ESPN+. WC's radio station, "The Coyote" will be broadcasting The Morning Show Wednesday through Friday live from Clarksville, with post-match interviews available on the station's smartphone app.
The U.S. Air Force is the presenting sponsor of the NJCAA Division I Championship.
In only their fourth season of volleyball, the Coyotes earned their fourth consecutive conference championship and third consecutive national tournament berth. WC won the Region V championship for the second time Saturday.
