Warren awarded AVCA 30 under 30
Assistant coach recognized for outstanding achievements at WC
The American Volleyball Coaches Association has announced Weatherford College's assistant volleyball coach Naomi Warren as a recipient of the 2026 Thirty Under 30 Award in the collegiate category.
The Thirty Under 30 program recognizes up-and-coming coaches in different sectors of the sport. They are recognized for their hard work and passion for teaching, helping players reach their full potential, and growing the game at the collegiate level.
Coach Warren joined the Weatherford College volleyball team in 2023, after its inaugural season in 2022.
"I jumped right into a high-level environment where winning was the bare minimum."
WC volleyball is no stranger to success, winning the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference in all four seasons since the program began. In 2023 and 2025, the Coyotes won the NJCAA Region 5 title, and have made three national appearances, with a fourth place finish this past fall.
Growing up, Warren attended and played volleyball at Boswell High School in Fort Worth. In 2022, an award was organized in her name as way to recognize student athletes who illustrate great sportsmanship, character, and camaraderie throughout the season.
Leading up to joining the Coyotes, she was a graduate assistant at York University in York, Nebraska, from fall of 2021 to spring of 2023.
When asked why she got into coaching volleyball, Warren remarked that it's not simply about the sport itself, but about the people she guides.
"My job is helping young athletes know their worth outside the jersey. My father and my uncle were the first people to show me the true passion behind what an amazing coach strives to be."
Coach Warren looks to become a head coach in the future, though for now she is proud to be a Coyote.
"I love that I get to be myself and bring my loud, bubbly, and energetic personality to my passion for the game! At Weatherford, I am allowed to be my true self on the sideline, hyping up the court, leading the bench with energy, and never being quiet. That's who I am, and my team accepts me and all the echoes I bring!"
