Coyotes deliver commanding win against Southwestern Christian College, 23rd sweep this season
WC defeats SWCC on the road for 13 game win streak
The No. 2 Weatherford College volleyball team secured another victory against Southwestern Christian College at the G.P. Bowser Memorial Gymnasium in Terrell on Saturday. Taking home their 23rd 3-0 sweep, this marks the 34th consecutive conference win for WC.
The Coyotes stand at a 25-2 record for the season overall and a 14-0 record in conference play.
In an impressive display of offensive firepower and an impenetrable defense, the Coyotes kept the Rams below 15 points in all three sets, scoring 25-11 in set one, 25-14 in set two and 25-6 in the third.
Outside hitter Weronika Urbanska led the Coyotes with 10 kills on the day.
Ally McCabe collected 16 assists against the Rams, alongside fellow freshman setter Addison Rowe, who logged 11 assists.
Defensively, libero Grace Owens contributed 11 digs and five service aces to the Coyotes' victory.
WC volleyball returns home at the Betty Jo Graber Athletic Center on Saturday at 1 p.m. to face Vernon College.
