On Saturday November 1 at the Betty Jo Graber Athletic Center, the No. 2 Weatherford College volleyball team swept Cisco College 3-0, ending their conference play with an exceptional 18-0 record. Overall, the Coyotes had a 29-2 record, dropping only two matches against two other nationally ranked teams: No. 1 Miami Dade College and No. 3 Florida Southwestern State College.
This is the 37th straight conference victory for the Coyotes.
Beline Thibaut had a double-double game, logging 15 digs on defense and 11 kills on offense.
Kiana Souza tied Thibaut for the defensive leader, assisting the Coyotes with 15 digs.
Glorybell Puente and Weronika Urbanska each had eight kills for WC, while Grace Owens had 8 digs for the defense.
The Weatherford College volleyball team will compete in the NJCAA Region V Volleyball Tournament on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 3 p.m. against the fourth seed Midland College from the WJCAC. This event will be held at Weatherford College in the Betty Jo Graber Athletic Center.
